Repossession Charity
During mid 2007 we had the opportunity to get involved with a charity that was being set up in Milton Keynes. It's setting out to help individuals that find themselves in debt and are about to start the lonely path of repossession.
Whilst its early days for this new charity, we've offered our web design services free of charge and look forward to working closely with them for many years to come.
The Elephant Mahout Project
Another project we've become involved with very recently is The Mahout Elephant Project. As the name suggests the charity helps Elephants, together with their owners, the Mahouts.
Based in Thailand, we've recently returned from a trip to see the Village where they're based, we had a great time and it was a real eye opener to see just how the Mahouts live with there families, surviving on about £50 per month, which doesn't sound too bad until you find out it costs £40 per month to feed the elephant, this is compounded when your elephant has a young baby.
This was a great opportunity for us to offer our services, we're in the process of writing their new website which will hopefully increase their global visibility and increase the number of visitors and volunteers they receive, which all goes to making life just that little bit easier for the village.
